Welcome
Jessica Renslow writes books, screenplays, articles and short stories. Her work has been featured in Cricket Media’s Muse Magazine, the To Japan with Love short story anthology and on a variety of networks like The Disney Channel. She is a graduate of The Big Sur Children’s Writers Workshop, a member of SCBWI and hones her craft with the Storyteller Academy crew. When she isn’t writing she can be found coding online courses and translating cartoons from Japanese to English for her clients. She lives in the buckle of the rustbelt, bookended by a national and a state park, with her fellas (man, sons and pup).
(Renslow pictured here with some of her big blended family.)
She received an Indiana Arts Commission Individual Advancement Grant from her home state to help her complete her first middle grade novel manuscript. Starting in the winter of 2025, her exciting nonfiction project for the Indiana State Library: Indiana Young Readers Center will be used in classrooms across the Hoosier State. Jessica is currently seeking representation.
